Great Hang Outs Around P-Burg

Last week we started a series on Day Trips around Philipsburg. Today we we'll hit great hang outs around the city!

Lining Broadway, you’ll find an array of shops to browse and shop - Back Creek Pottery, Stuff & Such Antiques, The Sweet Palace, Sapphire Gallery, Montana Gems, Gem Mountain, Heritage Photo, Whimsy, Schnibbles, Grassroots Gifts, Snookies and more.

A local treasure is the long running H&R Thrift Shop. You never know what you’ll find on the shelves and all proceeds go to support the Granite County Medical Center.

If you’re in town by 10 a.m., most shops are open and there’s a bit of something for everyone. From “Made in Montana” there is locally made merchandise to unique souvenirs, antiques, jewelry, fashionable apparel and fine wines. You’re sure to find something that will strike your fancy.

If its sweets you’re after, stop in at the world famous Sweet Palace where you’re sure to satisfy your sweet tooth! They have a great selection of old-time favorites to new concoctions they've created. And don't forget to get a fudge sample when you check out. In fact, you'll probably want to take home a pound or two.

For lunch, choose from the various restaurants - The Sunshine Station, UpNSmokin BBQ, Boeheme Coffee Shop, Doe Brothers, The Daily Grind or the new TommyKnockers. And when you're all done, stop by the Philipsburg Brewery for a tasty cold beverage!

Whether you go out shopping or feel like it’s time to relax, you may want to plan in advance some pampering at the Philipsburg Day Spa! This private spa is a special addition to the town and seems like it’s almost a secret. It is mostly advertised by word of mouth. Enjoy a deep tissue massage, manicure, pedicure, infrared sauna, detox, wraps and much more. Set up an appointment by calling 406-529-3987.

Enjoy your day and we'll see you next time!
