Winter Sells

I think most of us are over the frigid temperatures and dreary wintery days… ready for sunshine and warmth. Bring on Spring! Please!! If you’ve been tossing around the idea of selling your home, there is no better time than now.

Home sales are currently solid with buyer demand continuing to stay strong. Although, it seems that there are more buyers in the late spring and summer months, people on the lookout for a home to buy are scouring real estate websites daily looking for the latest listings. Buyer’s are often competing with one another for homes that are for sale and right now the inventory is very low… so low that there is not nearly enough homes for sale to satisfy the number of buyers in the market and the trend is nation wide, not just in Montana. For the majority of the country, the housing inventory is under the 6-month supply that is needed for a normal housing market. If your home is priced right, there will be serious buyers interested.

The downside to selling this time of year is moving in the freezing weather conditions. But just think of how much more time you’ll have to soak up the sun in the warm weather months… and we need to take advantage of them when we can, because they don’t last nearly long enough!
