Creative Cleaning - Dryer Sheets & Toilet Bombs

Megan’s Hacks & DIY’s
Hi Guys, every week I will be bringing to you an easy, inexpensive Hack and DIY to spruce up your home. Check out my mom’s blog weekly for the latest!
This is the time of year to think about spring cleaning. So this week I am going to give you some hack and DIY’s for spring cleaning. All of these DIY’s and hacks are super easy and inexpensive to do.
The first thing I am going to talk about is a hack. Did you know dryer sheets are a great way to clean your trim? They work very well to clean the bottoms of your walls where there is trim as well as along the ceiling and trim around your windows. It’s a good way to get in the corners to get rid of the dust and cobwebs.
The next is a DIY to clean and freshen your toilets. The bath bomb craze doesn’t stop there. You can also make your own, wait for it… toilet bombs! This is a great way to clean and disinfect without the harsh cleaners loaded with chemicals.
INGREDIENTS:
-½ cup corn starch
-¼ cup baking soda
-water
-½ cup citric acid
-25 drops of essential oil (your choice)
-spray bottle
-molds
STEPS:
Put all the ingredients (except for the essential oil) in a bag and shake well.
Open the bag and add a few spritzes of water.
Seal the bag and knead the ingredients until it looks like dough. You may need to release the air from the bag if it puffs up too much (A normal reaction from the baking soda and citric acid).
Next, add the essential oil and knead throughout the dough.
Then, pack the mixture into your molds and let set up for at least 24 yours. You will then need to let the molded bombs sit for another day or two until they are hard.
Drop one into the toilet bowl and let it fizz and dissolve completely. Scrub away and there you go!
